I'm not great at a lot of things, but I try awfully hard.

Hello friends, mas here.

I've made quite the migration over the last few years across the social media spectrum. Thankfully I am no longer contractually required to do that, but I did gain some insight into how I work in the social media landscape. I learned that I don't like them overall and I'd like to pretty much abandon all of them.

but as a 21st century person its hard to completely leap off the wagon; so I figured why not jump onto another, albeit more nostalgic wagon? Yes, blogging is in my technological blood so I'm not going to fight it much longer.

I don't think I'll settle on some singular purpose--  for now. At this time, this is the place where I'd like to put my stuff. Thoughts, pictures, writing, maybe a few bike builds? See, I'm into a lot of different things, none of which I'm terribly good at, but they help me be whole and at peace.

I love writing short stories and novels, I love to climb tall things (but not too tall because remember I am not that good), I love to ride my bike very far (okay this one I'm pretty good at) , I love making dinner for my wife, I love taking pictures of things that make me happy, I love designing board games that make people have funny outbursts at the table, and I love learning about the stuff around me.

I tried making several of the above my "main thing"; the thing that somehow soothes my soul and keeps the lights on. As anyone with a bit of experience in such things can tell you, its just no good.

So instead I will indulge in the whimsy of writing for yourself on the internet, with a side-hope that someone else gets something out of it sometime.

Oh right i forgot to mention, the whole "journeyman" thing is what I mean with all the "I'm not very good but I try" stuff. A lot of times, the effort is all that really matters. Carry on and take a walk, friends. if you've got the time. Or don't, I'm not the boss of you.
